Perry the Arrogant Brat

I still remember when I was at Patterns of Excellence (POE) program back in 2005.

Desmond and Pete, two of the toughest mutherf___s were at the swinging log, licking frantically for me to fall off it.

Granted, I kinda asked for it.

I was a PE teacher and I kninda looked at everyone and wondered, “How bloody hard could staying on a swinging log be?”

And when others were on the log, I am ten wondering, “How long are they going stay on it…? Just fall off quick and don’t hold up the line where others can complete the task with our eyes closed…”

In short, I was an arrogant brat. And guess what, everyone around knew that except for me…

I was just wondering why everyone was cheering the “kickers”, namely pete and desmond, to get me off the plank as quickly as possible!!!

You won’t want to see the type of language they hurled at me… just to see me stare at them and hopefully fall off.

I needed a lesson. And I got it.

I believe that everything happens for a reason.

If that incident did not happen, I would never have the confidence to dare tell my team that we shall march towards a 6 figure income following my plan.

I learnt very quickly through POE that i needed to evaluate me.

And all the mistakes I made, through my journey as a low iq small thinking student turn civil servant, served to teach me the same principles that I share with my audience and staff.

I think Ben is right. I am like that bee. i will share with you that story next time.
