Yesterday at the Toastmasters club, I gave my usual opening address. In it contained the story that I heard while listening to Brian Tracy’s GOALS.

I had just read a book that got me transfixed.

 The Buying Trances by Joe Vitale.

He mentioned 5 factors that help you to convince or persuade anyone. I found this piece of information rather interesting and easily applied.

  1. Encourage their dreams
  2. Justify their failures
  3. Ally their fears
  4. Confirm their suspicion
  5. Help them throw rocks at their enemies

Go ahead and test them out. In fact, if you were to analyse the most successful sales copies, you may find these recurring themes!

How to Think Like Rich Schefren

I had just finished reading a 93 page ebook in one go. I simply could not put it down. It was written by a man who had retired at 25 and came back into the business world and made waves both online and offline.

I put myself into the mind of Rich and wanted to figure out what it is that makes him different from other marketers.

He thinks leverage.

When he started his clothing store, he made it worth US$7 million in one year because he knew how to leverage of Madonna. Do a search of her name with his and you’ll know what I mean. When he stepped into the internet marketing realm, he quickly associated himself with Stephen Pierce and Jay Abraham. As Trump’s book title says, “There is no such thing as over exposure!”

Who are you associated with that the community sees them as industry leaders? How can you serve them and have a mutual benefit?

 Begin to be seen as part of their inner circle and you will find people attracted to you for business.

Rich has several keywords that triggers the thought of his name.

Maven, Manifesto, Attention Age, doctrine, etc…

Let me talk about “Maven”.

No point going to blogs and forums posting “me too” comments.

You need to separate yourself from the pack. Begin to say,

“I’m sorry if this is going to offend anybody, though I cannot stand anymore of this half truth being perpetuated. If you are in the real world, you would know this is easier said than done. What I had found is….”

Try it. See what the response from the community is. Remember, Paris Hilton cannot sing, act, nor seem intellectual. Yet she had cut an album, acted in movies and published several books. She is marketable. She has one factor that keeps her valuable. She has attention of people. That’s what you need.

I had recently bought a book by Paul McKenna. “I Can Make You Rich”

 I had bought many books on wealth creation and mindset, but this book has a uniques take on it. It combines NLP with wealth blueprint imprinting.

 The book even provides a hypnosis cd at the back for sublimal induction to not only help you consciously through reading, but also subconsciously through suggestion!

I love listening to the cd just before I sleep. I wake up thinking rich! What a feeling to have in the morning!

 I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to condition their mind to think unlimited wealth, and detox themselves of any unempowering beliefs using NLP.
